Paying with BLIK in a store might sound complicated at first, but it is really just a few simple steps. BLIK is a way of paying with your phone — instead of a payment card, you show the cashier a short code from your bank's app. This guide will show you exactly what to do, step by step. What you need before you start

Step by step — paying with BLIK at the till
- When the cashier tells you the amount to pay, say straight away: "I will pay with BLIK".
- Unlock your phone the way you usually do.
- Find your bank's app icon on the screen and tap it with your finger.
- Log into the app — using your fingerprint, your face, or your PIN code, depending on what you have set up.
- On the app's home screen, find the button labelled "BLIK" or "Pay with BLIK".
- Tap that button.
- A six-digit code will appear on the screen — for example, 384 921.
- This code is valid only for a short time, usually about two minutes, so do not delay.

What to do if something goes wrong
If the BLIK code disappears from the screen before you manage to give it, nothing is wrong. Simply tap the "BLIK" button in the app again and wait for a new code.

- If the amount on your phone screen does not match the amount you owe, do not confirm the payment. Tell the cashier about it.

Scammers often call and say something like: "Good afternoon, I am calling from the bank, we have detected a suspicious transaction on your account, please give me your BLIK code so we can cancel it." This is always a scam. A real bank never asks for your BLIK code over the phone. One rule will protect you: hang up and call your bank back yourself, using the number printed on your payment card.
