AASA Polska – Non-Bank Loan Review

AASA Polska is a non-bank loan offer granted online, aimed at people who need cash for current expenses without having to visit a branch. This is an instalment loan product (Aasa itself states that it does not grant short-term loans) – it's not a substitute for a bank loan, but a solution for a specific, immediate financial need, repaid in installments spread over a longer period than a typical single "payday" loan.

APR and cost of the loan

The Annual Percentage Rate (APR) in the representative example for the Standard Loan is 89.30% – this is the only binding measure of the total cost of the loan, covering interest, commission, and other fees, so it's worth treating it as the main point of reference when comparing offers. The loan amount ranges from PLN 1,000 to PLN 25,000.

The lender provides representative examples on its website (as of 10.09.2026): for a Standard Loan of PLN 1,500 over 4 months, the total cost of the loan is PLN 251.55 (interest PLN 54.75, commission PLN 196.80), with an APR of 89.30% and an interest rate of 14.50% (variable). For a Plus Loan of PLN 6,300 over 36 months, the total cost is PLN 4,045.06 (interest PLN 1,539.08, commission PLN 2,505.98), with an APR of 40.77%; the Plus Loan comes with an optional Additional Services Package, for which a fee of PLN 1,800 is charged in this example. These are illustrative examples – the actual installment and cost depend on the amount chosen, the repayment period, and the individual creditworthiness assessment, so they should not be treated as a guarantee of identical terms for every applicant.

Terms and requirements

The loan repayment period ranges from 4 to 36 months – longer than a classic one-off payday loan, which allows repayment to be spread into more comfortable installments. The lender offers the option of early repayment of the loan without incurring any additional costs – a significant advantage for people who expect a faster inflow of cash and want to reduce the total cost of the obligation.

People aged 20 to 80 can apply for the loan. The conditions for receiving the loan are Polish citizenship, permanent residence in the country, an active phone number, having a bank account, a steady income and a positive creditworthiness assessment – the applicant also must not appear in debtor registers. Aasa explicitly lists, among others, the Credit Information Bureau (BIK), BIG InfoMonitor, KBIG, KRD and CRIF, and on its company page it states that it works closely with BIK and the economic information bureaus, so the applicant's credit history is checked. There is, however, no information on the rules for a possible extension (rollover) of the loan; for temporary repayment difficulties the lender points to the option of a repayment holiday after contacting its Customer Service Office.

How to apply

The application process takes place entirely remotely (via the website, the Aasa24 app or the hotline): first, the amount and repayment period are chosen using the calculator, then the application form is filled in (mainly ID card data), identity is confirmed through the Kontomatik service, the applicant waits for the lender's decision, signs the agreement online, and once accepted, the funds are transferred to the indicated bank account.

Pros and cons

Below is a summary of the strengths and weaknesses of this offer.

Summary

AASA Polska is a non-bank loan with clearly stated representative examples (APR 89.30% for a Standard Loan of PLN 1,500 over 4 months, 40.77% for a Plus Loan of PLN 6,300 over 36 months) and the option to borrow up to PLN 25,000 for a period of 4 to 36 months. The advantage is the lack of early repayment costs and a relatively long, flexible lending period for a non-bank product. However, when choosing this offer, it's worth remembering that an APR of several dozen percent means a genuinely high cost of borrowed money compared to a bank loan – it is this number, not just the availability of funds, that should be the main decision criterion.

✓ Pros

  • ✓ APR clearly stated in representative examples (e.g. 89.30% for the Standard Loan) – full cost transparency
  • ✓ Option of early repayment without any additional costs
  • ✓ Long repayment period for a non-bank loan – up to 36 months
  • ✓ High maximum loan amount – up to PLN 25,000
  • ✓ Fully remote, simple application process

✕ Cons

  • ✕ High cost of the loan – APR 89.30% in the Standard Loan example (PLN 1,500 over 4 months)
  • ✕ Positive creditworthiness assessment required and no entries in debtor registers
  • ✕ No information on the rules for a possible extension (rollover) of the loan
  • ✕ Availability limited by applicant age (20–80 years)
