Ekassa – online cash loan up to PLN 30,000

Ekassa is an online service offering cash loans to individuals (Ekassa osobista), fully processed online with no branch visit required. The service is run by the credit intermediary Prosta Pożyczka Sp. z o.o., and the lender named in the intermediary information is Szybki Kredyt Sp. z o.o.; both companies are listed in the register of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), as a consumer credit intermediary and a loan institution respectively. The product is aimed mainly at people looking for fast access to cash for any purpose, without needing to submit income certificates or wait long for a decision.

APRC and loan cost

The information form available on the Ekassa website gives a representative example: total loan amount PLN 10,000, agreement term 720 days (24 monthly instalments of PLN 607.25), nominal interest rate 14.5% per year, commission PLN 2,903.70 and interest PLN 1,670.40. This gives an APRC (RRSO) of 47.60%, a total loan cost of PLN 4,574.10 and a total amount to repay of PLN 14,574.10. Loan amounts range from PLN 1,000 to PLN 30,000. The APRC depends on the amount and repayment period, and the exact cost of the chosen loan is shown in the information form and the agreement before signing, so before applying it is worth checking it for the specific amount and period you are interested in.

Terms and requirements

The repayment period is 12 to 36 months. The loan is available to people aged 18 or over who are citizens of an EU member state, live in Poland and have an active bank account. No additional documents are required for the application, only your PESEL number, and the bank account is confirmed automatically via Kontomatik or with a PLN 1 transfer. Before granting the loan, credit history is checked in BIK and BIG (Polish credit and debt bureaus). Early repayment involves no additional fees or penalties.

Pros and cons

  • Maximum loan amount reaches PLN 30,000
  • Fully online application with no additional documents
  • No fees for early repayment
  • High cost: in the representative example the commission is PLN 2,903.70 on a PLN 10,000 loan and the APRC is 47.60%
  • Credit history check in BIK and BIG
  • Customer service contact by e-mail only

The application is made online without additional documents, but the loan is not cheap: the commission makes up a larger part of the cost than the interest.
