Our review

Adam Ostrowski · Updated: 15 October 2026

In short: Smartney lends online from PLN 1,000 to PLN 150,000 in monthly instalments. The 17.11% APR applies to the representative example for the largest loans (from PLN 81,000, over 98-120 months); for loans up to PLN 50,000 the example APR is 36.19%, and the maximum APR stated by Smartney is 94.36%. The interest rate is variable. This offer suits someone who needs a larger amount and wants to repay it over years, not a loan until payday.

What Smartney's online instalment loan is

The lender is Smartney Grupa Oney S.A. of Warsaw, a lending institution entered in the register kept by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) under number RIP 000610. According to Smartney, the company belongs to the French Oney Bank Group.

On our site the offer sits in the payday and non-bank loan category, but it is an instalment loan, not a 30-day payday loan. Smartney's website lists three variants, each with its own amount and term range:

  • "DaSię Teraz": PLN 1,000 to PLN 50,000, for 6-69 months,
  • "DaSię Wygodnie": PLN 10,000 to PLN 80,000, for 72-96 months,
  • "DaSię Więcej": PLN 81,000 to PLN 150,000, for 98-120 months.

APR and loan cost

The 17.11% APR we show for this offer comes from the example for the "DaSię Więcej" variant. Smaller loans have higher APRs in their examples. All three examples have a variable interest rate of 14.50% and were calculated as of 01.07.2026:

  • "DaSię Teraz": APR 36.19%, loan amount PLN 8,553.12, 37 instalments of PLN 357.64 and a final one of PLN 363.81, total payable PLN 13,596.49, cost PLN 5,043.37 (commission PLN 2,873.05, interest PLN 2,170.32),
  • "DaSię Wygodnie": APR 20.52%, loan amount PLN 34,676.56, 89 instalments of PLN 721.80 and a final one of PLN 785.93, total payable PLN 65,026.13, cost PLN 30,349.57 (commission PLN 7,888.64, interest PLN 22,460.93),
  • "DaSię Więcej": APR 17.11%, loan amount PLN 105,277.78, 112 instalments of PLN 1,802.46 and a final one of PLN 2,076.10, total payable PLN 203,951.62, cost PLN 98,673.84 (commission PLN 10,111.54, interest PLN 88,562.30).

These examples are based on specific assumptions. Smartney notes that the final terms depend on the assessment of your creditworthiness and credit risk. The maximum APR Smartney states is 94.36%.

Our calculation

Assumption: Smartney's representative examples. For each variant we divide the total cost by the total loan amount and multiply by 100:

  • "DaSię Teraz" (38 instalments): PLN 58.97 of cost for every PLN 100 borrowed,
  • "DaSię Wygodnie" (90 instalments): PLN 87.52 per PLN 100,
  • "DaSię Więcej" (113 instalments): PLN 93.73 per PLN 100.

The lowest APR does not mean the lowest cost in zloty. The variant with a 17.11% APR costs the most per PLN 100, because you repay it for over 9 years. A shorter term means a higher instalment, but less money paid back overall.

Compared with the market

In our comparison of 34 offers in the payday and non-bank loan category (as of 15.10.2026), this offer ranks 1st by APR; the median is 176.61%. This compares offers listed on BankSorter, not the entire market. Caveat: the ranking is based on the 17.11% APR from the example for the largest loans. For a loan of up to PLN 50,000, compare the 36.19% APR from the "DaSię Teraz" example instead.

Terms and requirements

  • Amount: PLN 1,000 to PLN 150,000, depending on the variant.
  • In all three representative examples, repayment is in equal monthly instalments with a final balancing instalment.
  • The loan is granted only after a positive assessment of creditworthiness and credit risk.
  • The website currently runs a "500 zł wraca" promotion (14-20.10.2026) for loans of PLN 30,000 to PLN 80,000 over 72-96 months; you must enter the code BONUS500 before accepting the offer. The terms are set out in the promotion rules.

Not for you if...

  • you need money for a few weeks: this loan is repaid in monthly instalments over years,
  • you are borrowing a few thousand zloty and expect a 17.11% APR: that rate applies to the example for amounts from PLN 81,000,
  • you do not accept the risk of your instalment changing: the interest rate is variable.

Watch out for

  • Every representative example includes a commission: from PLN 2,873.05 to PLN 10,111.54.
  • With a variable interest rate, the instalment may change during repayment.
  • The maximum APR according to Smartney is 94.36%, so your offer may be more expensive than the examples.

How to apply

  1. You fill in the application online.
  2. You log in to your bank (Smartney says: "Zero documents").
  3. Smartney transfers the money to your account.

According to Smartney, the payout order time for most customers is about 5 minutes.

Summary

A 17.11% APR means 1st place in our comparison of 34 offers, but it only applies to the example for loans from PLN 81,000 over 98-120 months. For smaller amounts the examples have APRs of 20.52% and 36.19%, and the maximum APR is 94.36%. Smartney makes sense when you need tens of thousands of zloty or more and want to spread repayment over years. Before signing, compare the total amount payable in the information form, not just the APR.
