Millennium 360° – Review of Bank Millennium's Personal Account
Millennium 360° is Bank Millennium's basic personal account, aimed at customers looking for a free account for everyday settlements – with no maintenance fee and a welcome bonus for new customers. The account can be opened by people from age 18, and the bank does not limit the upper age. This is a proposal aimed both at young people (18-25 years old, with a lower threshold of required inflows in the promotion) and other individual customers.
Fees and Charges
According to the bank's data, maintaining a Millennium 360° account costs PLN 0 – the monthly account maintenance fee is zero, with no additional conditions to meet. Likewise, external transfers are free – the bank does not charge any commission for them.
The situation is different with the debit card (Visa Millennium 360° / Mastercard Millennium 360°). The card itself can cost from 0 to PLN 11 – the fee is zero for the first two months after opening the account, and afterward remains zero on condition that at least 5 card or BLIK payments were made in the previous month. If this condition is not met, the card fee can be up to PLN 11.
Cash withdrawals from ATMs in Poland are generally chargeable (up to PLN 5), but the bank provides several exemptions: withdrawals are free for the first two months, likewise if at least 5 card/BLIK transactions were made in the previous month, and withdrawals from Bank Millennium's own ATMs are always free. Withdrawals from Erste Bank Polska and PlanetCash network ATMs cost PLN 1 if no exemption has been obtained, and from other domestic ATMs – up to PLN 5. Analogous rules (0-2 months free, then an exemption for at least 5 card/BLIK transactions in the previous month, otherwise a fee) apply to withdrawals from ATMs abroad, where the rate without an exemption is up to PLN 5.
Features, App, and Welcome Bonus
The account offers a standard set of modern features: a mobile app, BLIK support, contactless NFC payments, and integration with Google Pay and Apple Pay. The card also enables online payments and participation in a cashback program.
The most important element of the offer, however, is the welcome bonus of up to PLN 1,000, split into three independent stages – and it is worth clearly understanding that these are three separate, sequentially met conditions, not one simple action:
- PLN 200 – for opening the account, giving marketing consents, registering a phone number for BLIK, and ensuring, within 14 days of opening the account, inflows totaling at least PLN 1,500 (for people aged 18-25) or PLN 3,000 (for people aged 26+), as well as making 5 mobile payments (e.g. Apple Pay, Google Pay).
- PLN 500 – for maintaining these same inflows (at least PLN 1,500 or PLN 3,000, depending on age) and mobile payments totaling at least PLN 1,000 in each of the 5 consecutive months following the month the account was opened. A further condition is not deregistering the phone number from BLIK throughout this entire period.
- PLN 300 – available only to customers with children: it requires opening a 360° Junior account together with a Profit Savings Account for the child as part of the promotion, the legal guardian giving marketing consents and accepting the promotion's terms, depositing at least PLN 200 into the child's account within 14 days, maintaining a balance on the child's savings account of no less than PLN 100 for 3 consecutive months, and – for children aged 7-17 – additionally having the child make at least 3 card or mobile wallet payments in each of 3 consecutive months.
In practice, this means the full PLN 1,000 is realistically achievable only for some customers. The first PLN 700 (PLN 200 + PLN 500) requires consistently maintaining the specified inflows and payment activity for a full 5 months from opening the account – this is not a one-off bonus, but a reward spread over time, dependent on regularly meeting the conditions every month. The remaining PLN 300 is available only to people with children and requires opening an additional product (a children's account with a savings account) and maintaining a balance on it for the following 3 months. For a customer without children, the realistic maximum bonus is therefore PLN 700, not the headline PLN 1,000 – an important difference to know before opening the account.
The bank states on its promotional website that the offer is valid until 27 October 2026 (or until the pool of 300,000 accounts is exhausted) and is aimed at new customers who have not held a personal account at Bank Millennium since 1 January 2022. On the same website, the bank also advertises an additionally interest-bearing savings account (promotionally, for a limited time, on new funds, with a limit on the amount covered by the promotion) and a cashback program with partners – these, however, are separate accompanying products/promotions, not elements of the personal account itself.
Who This Account Is For
Millennium 360° will work best for people who already regularly pay with a card or BLIK and have steady, monthly inflows to the account (salary, contracts) exceeding the thresholds required in the promotion – for such customers, meeting the bonus conditions does not require changing their habits. The account is also a good choice for people who value the absence of an account maintenance fee and free external transfers, regardless of whether they decide to chase the bonus. Parents of young and teenage children can additionally benefit from the third bonus stage by opening a Junior account.
How to Open a Millennium 360° Account
- 1. Submit an application to open a Millennium 360° account with a debit card (online or via the bank's mobile app).
- 2. Give the required marketing consents and accept the promotion's terms.
- 3. Register a phone number to receive BLIK transfers in the mobile app.
- 4. Within 14 days of opening the account – ensure the required inflows (PLN 1,500 or PLN 3,000, depending on age) and make 5 mobile payments.
- 5. Maintain activity (inflows + mobile payments) for the following 5 months to receive the full PLN 700 bonus.
Summary
Millennium 360° is an account with no maintenance fee and free external transfers, which by itself makes it a solid, cost-free proposition for everyday use. The fees for the card and ATM withdrawals are avoidable, but require regular payment activity (at least 5 card/BLIK transactions per month) – for people who pay with a card anyway, this will not be an issue. The advertised bonus of up to PLN 1,000 is real, but split into three independent stages and five months of regularly meeting the conditions – realistically available to most customers is PLN 700, and the full amount additionally requires holding and actively using a children's account. This is an offer worth considering for people with regular inflows to their account and a tendency toward mobile/BLIK payments, less attractive for someone looking for a bonus "for nothing."
