Nest Konto – Review

Nest Konto is Nest Bank's basic personal account, aimed at customers looking for an account with no fees for maintenance, a card, and the most popular transfers. It's a proposal for people who use mobile banking, contactless payments, and BLIK on a daily basis, while wanting to avoid fixed, monthly account maintenance costs.

Fees and Charges

Nest Konto is not burdened by an account maintenance fee — according to the bank's data, this fee is PLN 0, with no additional conditions that need to be met to benefit from this exemption. The situation is similar for external transfers in the Elixir system — they are completely free, regardless of the number of transactions made in a month.

Two debit cards are available for the account: Visa for Nest Konto and Visa Business. Both cards are issued and serviced free of charge — the card fee is PLN 0. The cards enable online payments, contactless payments, and cashback on purchases in physical stores.

As for cash withdrawals, they are free at ATMs in the Euronet network — this is the only ATM network where Nest Bank guarantees free card withdrawals and deposits. Outside this network, at other domestic ATMs, the withdrawal fee is PLN 6. Cash withdrawals abroad are also chargeable — PLN 6 per transaction, with no exemption offered by the bank in this respect.

The account can be opened by an adult — you must be at least 18 years old, with no upper age limit specified by the bank.

It's worth adding that the bank's promotional page also lists other free operations on this account — zero fees for cash deposits and withdrawals via BLIK and for SEPA transfers. This rounds out the picture of the account as a product with no fees for everyday, basic operations — the only remaining costs are essentially withdrawals from ATMs outside the Euronet network and abroad.

Features and App

Nest Konto supports BLIK payments and integrates with the Google Pay and Apple Pay mobile wallets, and the entire account can be managed via the bank's mobile app. This is a sufficient feature set for a customer who handles most everyday payments by phone or contactless card.

Both available debit cards — Visa for Nest Konto and Visa Business — offer an identical set of features: online payments, contactless payments, and cashback, i.e. the ability to withdraw cash when paying by card in a store. This is a practical alternative to ATM withdrawals, especially outside the Euronet network, where — as described above — the bank charges a fee for every withdrawal.

The most important element of the current offer is a bonus worth up to PLN 1,250, but it's worth carefully examining the terms under which it can be earned in full — it is not a one-off bonus paid simply for opening the account. The bonus consists of two separate elements:

  • up to PLN 1,200 — a refund for cashless card payments, accrued gradually (2% cashback on transactions) over 24 consecutive months
  • PLN 50 — a one-off bonus for exchanging EUR 100 at Nest Kantor

The condition for accruing the cashless payment refund is maintaining a regular salary inflow to the account — at least PLN 3,000 per month for people over 25, or PLN 1,500 for customers aged 18–25 — as well as giving marketing consent. This means the headline amount of PLN 1,250 is realistically achievable only for people who maintain a regular salary inflow to the account for a full two years and actively pay by card — in any month where the inflow condition is not met, the refund for that period is forfeited. This is a bonus spread over time and dependent on the customer's financial discipline, rather than an "easy" one-off PLN 1,250 to start.

In addition, the promotion itself is time-limited — it applies to agreements concluded between April 1 and September 30, 2026 — and is aimed exclusively at people who have not held a Nest Konto since January 1, 2021. Existing bank customers who have already had this account in recent years will not be eligible for the promotion.

Who Is It For

Nest Konto will work best as a basic account for people who want to avoid any fees for maintenance, a card, and domestic transfers, while receiving a regular salary by transfer — only by meeting this condition does the bonus in the form of a cashless payment refund have a chance of being achieved in full. It's also a sensible proposal for customers who mainly use mobile and contactless payments, for whom BLIK, Google Pay, and Apple Pay are entirely sufficient, as well as for people who regularly withdraw cash specifically at Euronet ATMs.

People who expect frequent cash withdrawals at ATMs outside the Euronet network or abroad should factor in a PLN 6 fee for every such transaction — in this respect, the offer is no longer free. Meanwhile, people counting on an easy, one-off bonus just for opening the account should be aware that most of this account's bonus has to be "earned" through two years of regular salary inflows, rather than collected right away.

How to Open the Account

The account is opened online — the application is filled out on the bank's promotional page, and identity is verified according to the instructions in the account-opening process. To take advantage of the current promotion with a bonus of up to PLN 1,250, the account must be opened during its validity period (April 1 – September 30, 2026), and you must not have held a Nest Konto since January 1, 2021.

After opening the account and accepting marketing consent, you need to start paying regularly by card and ensure a monthly salary inflow of the required amount — only this triggers the accrual of the cashless payment refund. The second part of the bonus, PLN 50, additionally requires using Nest Kantor and exchanging at least EUR 100.

Pros and Cons

  • PLN 0 for account maintenance, with no additional conditions
  • PLN 0 for the debit card
  • Free external transfers (Elixir)
  • Free withdrawals and deposits at Euronet ATMs
  • Integration with BLIK, Google Pay, and Apple Pay
  • The full bonus (PLN 1,200 out of PLN 1,250) requires 24 months of regular salary inflows
  • Chargeable cash withdrawals outside the Euronet network and abroad (PLN 6 per transaction)
  • The promotion is not available to customers who already held a Nest Konto since 2021
  • Time-limited promotion — applies only to accounts opened by September 30, 2026

Summary

Nest Konto is an account with a simple and genuinely free price list for basic services — PLN 0 for account maintenance, the card, and external transfers, plus free withdrawals at Euronet ATMs. The advertised bonus of up to PLN 1,250 is entirely real, but most of it (PLN 1,200) is spread over 24 months and depends on regular salary inflows — this is not a bonus that lands on the account immediately after signing the agreement. For people planning to use the account long-term and transfer their salary to it, it's an attractive offer combining free basic services with a real, though demanding, bonus; for those looking for a simple, one-off bonus just for opening an account, it's a less suitable proposal.
