In short: PKO Bank Polski's cash loan offers PLN 12,000 to PLN 300,000 for any purpose, with repayment of up to 120 months and no arrangement fee. It costs an APRC of 12.69% with a variable interest rate of 11.99%, which puts it in last place among the 8 cash loans in our comparison. It is an offer for someone who needs a large amount or a long repayment and does not need a PKO account, but not for those looking for the cheapest loan.

What this loan is and who it is for

This is a cash loan for any purpose. The bank says it plainly: "You don't have to tell us about your plans". You can borrow from PLN 12,000 to PLN 300,000 and spread repayment over up to 120 months.

The bank also notes: "You don't need to have an account with PKO Bank Polski". You pay no arrangement fee. Granting the loan depends on your creditworthiness.

Interest rate and APRC

The nominal interest rate is 11.99% and it is variable. This is the price of the borrowed capital alone. The APRC is 12.69% and covers all costs of the credit on an annual basis, which is why it is the figure to compare offers by. In the bank's example the whole cost is interest; the fee is PLN 0.00.

A variable rate means the instalment can rise or fall during repayment. With a term of up to 120 months that risk lasts a long time, so check whether you could cope with a higher instalment.

In the representative example the instalments are equal: you pay the same amount every month, only the last instalment differs (assuming the rate does not change).

Against the market: among the 8 cash loans in our comparison (as of 15 October 2026), this offer ranks 8th, meaning it has the highest APRC. The median APRC is 8.78%; the lowest APRC belongs to Erste Bank Polska ("Mój pierwszy kredyt", 7.97%). This compares offers listed on BankSorter, not the whole market.

An alternative at the same bank: on a separate page PKO shows a "Your first loan with us" variant with a fixed rate of 9.50% and an APRC of 9.94%, for amounts from PLN 15,000 to PLN 50,000 and up to 60 months. The bank says it is "for those who have not yet used our loan". If this is your first loan with PKO, check that variant.

Total cost

PKO gives a representative example calculated on 21 September 2026. It is an example based on specific assumptions, not a guarantee of identical terms for every customer. The bank notes that the figures depend on the payout date and the date of the first instalment.

  • total amount of credit: PLN 30,500.00,
  • 71 equal monthly instalments of PLN 595.50 and a final instalment of PLN 655.31,
  • total cost of credit: PLN 12,435.81 (fee PLN 0.00, interest PLN 12,435.81),
  • total amount payable: PLN 42,935.81,
  • APRC 12.69%, variable interest rate 11.99%.

We did the maths

How much does each PLN 100 borrowed cost? We divide the total cost of credit by the total amount of credit and multiply by 100: PLN 12,435.81 / PLN 30,500.00 × 100 = PLN 40.77. That is the interest you pay on every PLN 100 when repaying in 72 instalments, as in the bank's example.

For comparison, the first-loan variant in its own example (PLN 29,400.00, 42 instalments, cost PLN 5,273.71) comes to PLN 17.94 per PLN 100. The gap comes from two things at once, a lower rate and a shorter term, so it is not a like-for-like comparison. It does show how strongly a long repayment period raises the total cost.

Requirements and safeguards

  • Creditworthiness: the bank says granting the loan depends on it.
  • Account: you do not need an account with PKO Bank Polski.
  • Amount and term: from PLN 12,000 to PLN 300,000, repayment up to 120 months.
  • Insurance: the offer page states no insurance requirement or cost, and our database has no such data either. Ask about it before signing.
  • How to apply: in the iPKO online service or the IKO app. You then review the terms and accept the agreement online.
  • Payout: according to the bank, the money can be in your account as early as the day you accept the agreement.

Who it is for

The loan suits someone who needs a large amount (up to PLN 300,000) or a long repayment (up to 120 months), has no PKO account and accepts a variable rate.

Not for you if…

  • you are looking for the lowest APRC: in our comparison this offer has the highest APRC of 8,
  • you need less than PLN 12,000: that is the minimum amount,
  • you do not want the risk of a rising instalment: the rate is variable,
  • you have never borrowed from PKO and need PLN 15,000 to PLN 50,000: check the first-loan variant with an APRC of 9.94% first.

Watch out for

  • Variable rate: the example instalment (PLN 595.50) can change.
  • The representative example dates from 21 September 2026. The bank says the figures are indicative and depend on the payout date and the first instalment date.
  • The offer page says nothing about insurance. No information does not mean no cost.

Verdict

PKO Bank Polski's cash loan gives a lot of room: PLN 12,000 to PLN 300,000, up to 120 months, a PLN 0 fee and no PKO account needed. On cost, however, it is the weakest in our comparison: an APRC of 12.69%, with a variable rate. If this is your first loan with PKO, check the cheaper fixed-rate variant. Either way, compare the APRC with other banks for the same amount and term.
