mBiznes Standard business account with company registration — who this offer is for
mBiznes Standard z otwarciem firmy is a variant of mBank's popular business account, aimed primarily at people who are just setting up a sole proprietorship and want to combine registering their company with opening a business account in a single process. This solution makes sense for freelancers, small service providers, and people starting their own business who are looking for an account with no maintenance fees and a basic set of digital tools (mobile app, BLIK, contactless payments), without necessarily needing extensive tools for a large company with many employees.
Fees and charges
The most important piece of information: the account has PLN 0 for maintenance, and this is permanent — it is not a promotion for the first few months, but a standing feature of the offer. Likewise, the first Mastercard Debit Business debit card is issued for PLN 0.
For external transfers, the bank provides a package of 20 free domestic transfers in PLN per month and 20 free transfers in EUR to European Union and European Economic Area countries per month — permanently, with no promotional time limit. Above these packages, a single external transfer can cost up to PLN 1.50.
Cash withdrawal fees on the card deserve more attention. The structure is multi-tiered: a withdrawal at an mBank or Planet Cash network ATM in Poland for an amount of at least PLN 300 is free; below that amount at the same ATMs you'll pay PLN 2.50; at Euronet network ATMs in Poland — PLN 5; and at all other domestic ATMs and abroad — 3.5% of the withdrawal amount, minimum PLN 5. In other words, to use the account without cash withdrawal fees, it's worth planning larger, less frequent withdrawals and sticking to mBank or Planet Cash ATMs.
Bonus and additional features
The account is covered by a PLN 500 promotion from mBank. The conditions aren't difficult, but need to be consciously met: you need to open the account together with a Mastercard Debit Business, Mastercard Business WOŚP, or Mastercard Business WOŚP Mobile card and use it for transactions totalling at least PLN 1,000 within 30 days of signing the agreement. This is a single, one-stage condition (unlike the bonuses on personal accounts, which are often split across several months and several separate thresholds), so for someone who plans to actively use the business account from day one anyway, it's genuinely achievable. It's worth knowing, however, that the bonus doesn't land in the account immediately — the bank pays it out only by the end of the month following the month in which the conditions were met, and only after all card transactions have been settled.
A separate matter is that the page some affiliate links to this offer lead to additionally advertises a PLN 700 bonus from the intermediary running that particular comparison site, alongside the mentioned PLN 500 from mBank — which together gives the slogan "up to PLN 1,200" there. This is an important distinction: the PLN 700 amount does not come from mBank and is not an official bonus of this product — it is a separate, layered incentive from a specific offer-comparison service, dependent on its own terms and registration on its site. The only bonus guaranteed directly by the bank, regardless of which portal you use to open the account, is the PLN 500 described above.
Besides the bonus itself, the account offers a standard set of digital features: a mobile app, BLIK, Google Pay, and Apple Pay payments, an online currency exchange, and online accounting. The card for the account supports online, contactless, and cashback payments. In the current promotional offer, the bank also adds an mKsięgowość Komfort package for PLN 1 net per month for the first 3 months, and a free, for 24 months, mOrganizer finansów package with unlimited invoicing compliant with KSeF — a practical addition for people who don't want to pay separately for a simple invoicing program.
Who this account is for
mBiznes Standard z otwarciem firmy will work best for people setting up a sole proprietorship who want to have a business account ready right away when registering their company, with no maintenance fees and no need to negotiate terms. The package of 20 free domestic transfers and 20 to the EUR/EEA zone per month should be enough for most freelancers and micro-entrepreneurs who use transfers occasionally rather than in bulk. For businesses settling dozens or hundreds of transfers per month and withdrawing cash outside the mBank and Planet Cash network, the costs may already be noticeable.
How to open the account
The account is opened online, using the promotional application that includes the card entitling you to the bonus (Mastercard Debit Business, Mastercard Business WOŚP, or its mobile version). For the PLN 500 bonus to be credited, you need to make card transactions totalling at least PLN 1,000 within 30 days of signing the agreement — worth keeping in mind already at the stage of planning your first business expenses after opening the account.
Pros and cons
Pros
- PLN 0 for account maintenance — permanently, with no monthly conditions to meet
- The first debit card for PLN 0
- PLN 500 bonus for one, clearly defined condition (card + transactions of at least PLN 1,000 within 30 days)
- 20 free domestic transfers in PLN and 20 in EUR to the EU/EEA per month
- Free extras: an invoicing package compliant with KSeF for 24 months, promotional online accounting
Cons
- Cash withdrawal fees outside mBank and Planet Cash ATMs — from PLN 2.50 to 3.5% (min. PLN 5) depending on the amount and network
- The bonus is paid with a delay — only at the end of the month following the month in which the conditions were met
- External transfers above the free package — up to PLN 1.50
- The "up to PLN 1,200" amount advertised on some sites actually depends on PLN 700 from a specific intermediary, not from mBank itself
Summary
mBiznes Standard z otwarciem firmy is a solid proposition for people setting up a sole proprietorship who want an account with no ongoing fees and a simple bonus condition. The PLN 500 from mBank requires only one easy-to-meet card activity in the first month, and everyday costs are kept down by the package of free transfers. The only things worth paying attention to are the fees for cash withdrawals outside the mBank and Planet Cash network, and the fact that the higher bonus amounts advertised by some comparison sites include add-ons independent of the bank.
